Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using RoleNavigator ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

RoleNavigator is a job search management platform that aggregates job listings, provides AI-powered scoring and matching, generates tailored application documents, and tracks your application progress. The Service is currently in public beta.

3. Beta Disclaimer

The Service is provided as a beta product. Features may change, be removed, or experience downtime without notice. We make no guarantees about uptime, data retention beyond our stated backup policies, or the accuracy of AI-generated content.

4. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
One person per account. Sharing accounts is not permitted.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
Use automated tools to access the Service (except through our provided APIs)
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without permission

6. Subscriptions and Payment

Some features require a paid subscription, processed through Stripe.
Subscription pricing is displayed before purchase. All fees are in USD.
Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time through your account settings.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us for assistance.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

7. Pay-Per-Document Fees

$1.49 grants you one generation of a tailored resume and cover letter for a single job. Generation is non-transferable and applies only to the specific job for which it was purchased.

If document generation fails three or more times, you may cancel and receive an automatic refund within 7 days of the third failure. Once generation succeeds, refunds are at our discretion.

8. Subscription Upgrades

Past pay-per-document purchases are not credited toward subscription fees.

9. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to score job matches, generate resumes, cover letters, and interview preparation materials. AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and should be reviewed and edited before use. We are not responsible for outcomes resulting from unmodified use of AI-generated content.

10. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of data as described therein.

11. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all content you upload (resumes, profile information).
AI-generated documents (tailored resumes, cover letters) are yours to use.
The Service, its design, code, and branding are the property of JHC Consulting LLC.

12. Account Termination

You may request account deletion at any time through Settings. We will process deletion requests within 48 hours.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JHC Consulting LLC and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that job matches or AI-generated content will meet your expectations.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], without regard to conflict of law principles.
