Built by someone who needed it

RoleNavigator exists because its founder went through the exact problem it solves. After 11 years at one company, a layoff in November 2025 dropped him back into a job market that felt broken — so he built the tool he wished he had.

Why RoleNavigator exists

Justin Hammon spent 11 years at a single company before a layoff in November 2025. With bills to pay, he did what everyone does — started applying. And it felt absurd: hours of manual scanning, re-tailoring the same resume, rewriting cover letters, and losing track of it all.

Applying for jobs felt like using a typewriter in 2024.

Coming from a background in software, go-to-market, and AI, he saw the obvious: almost all of it could be automated. The scanning. The scoring against your resume. The tailoring. So instead of grinding through the broken version, he built RoleNavigator — a tool that scans job sources, scores every listing against your resume, and tracks your whole pipeline in one place.

Building in public

Getting blindsided by a layoff is isolating, and it's easy to assume you're the only one. You're not. Justin builds RoleNavigator in public — sharing the journey from over a decade of stability to building something of his own — so the people going through the same thing don't have to do it alone. That transparency is the point, not a marketing tactic.

The person behind it

RoleNavigator isn't a faceless product. It's built and maintained by a named person you can find and talk to:
